These terms cover the use of this website and the calculators on it. The short version: everything here is educational, the numbers are estimates, and decisions about your own money remain yours.

Who we are

This site is published by Ziegler Services LLC, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Financial coaching is one of the services the company offers, published here as Ziegler Financial Coaching. Throughout these terms, "we" and "our" mean Ziegler Services LLC.

This is education, not advice

We are financial coaches. We are not investment advisers, accountants, tax preparers or attorneys, and nothing on this site is investment, tax or legal advice. We do not recommend securities, manage money or hold ourselves out as fiduciaries.

Nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, because a web page cannot know them. Before acting on anything that matters — a mortgage, a tax position, a loan you cannot easily undo — check it with a professional qualified for that question and with the institution that actually holds the account.

The calculators are estimates

Every calculator produces an estimate from the figures you enter. Results depend entirely on those inputs and on assumptions we have had to make, which each page explains. Real accounts carry fees, rounding conventions, rate changes and terms that no general-purpose tool can model.

Some tools also carry figures that change on a schedule — contribution limits, wage bases, tax thresholds. We update them, but a page you open may be ahead of us, which is why several of the tools let you correct those figures yourself. Treat any result as a starting point to verify with your servicer, lender, plan administrator or tax professional, never as a statement of what you owe or will receive.

We work to keep the arithmetic correct and test it, but we cannot promise a calculator is free of error or fits your situation.

Coaching is separate

These terms cover this website. Coaching engagements are governed by the separate agreement we sign with a client. Reading this site, using the calculators or booking an introductory call does not create a coaching relationship or any professional duty on our part.

Links and referral links

Some pages link to other companies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish or do.

At least one of those links is a referral link, meaning we would be paid if you signed up through it. Wherever that is true it is disclosed on the page itself, along with the conditions attached. Being paid does not change what we write: we recommend things we actually use, and say where they fall short.

Using what's here

The writing, calculators and design on this site are ours. You are welcome to use the tools for your own household, and to print or save a worksheet for yourself, a family member or your own advisers. Please do not republish the content, copy the calculators into your own product, or present this material as your own work. Quoting a passage with a link back is fine and welcome.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption or that it will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost money, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything it says. Decisions about your money are yours, and so are their outcomes.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
